Restaurant Zum Gutchen in Mittelherwigsdorf

Was eating in this restaurant yesterday The lighting design takes a lot of getting used to. Every gricht shimmers reddish. Even photos that have been taken have a reddish tint. We couldn't speak of fresh cuisine in the sauce (Mondamine powder) or in the side dishes. Beans from the jar / can only saw the stove in the flyby (lukewarm). The owner reacted very loudly and indignantly to criticism and our table was no longer visited. I can well understand when restaurateurs are tense two days before the new lockdown and do not buy fresh goods, but this should not be lived out on the paying guests. Then shorten the card and deliver quality. The guests come back then. I do not anymore.

Everything was right !! The dining room is still closed due to the extensive construction work and food is served in the hall, but it is also nicely decorated and the atmosphere is right. Food and service were great as always! There is nothing wrong with that. Home-style cooking with no frills, simply delicious! Thank you for the lovely evening!

We had a family celebration in this restaurant. Despite the renovation work, everything went smoothly. The service was well placed and friendly. The decoration was ok, according to the occasion. We ate by the map, the selection was very extensive. The food was large and tasty, maybe a bit senior-friendly.

Good food and very welcoming atmosphere. They don’t speak English at all but try hard to communicate so it was a funny experience for us. This is a small silent place with old photos and paintings.

Excellent cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. Despite that celebrated two birthdays next to us, the food (soup and main course) was quickly on the table. Delicious and very tastefully prepared. Very good value for money. Gladly, when I'm back in the area !!!
